do gouramis like to live in pairs or more like 4's i was wondering on wether getting three dwarf gouramis.. one male and two females i think females ae silver.....????? -_- and males nice and pretty lol!

Pairs, IMHO. I tried keeping a male with two females, but that didn't work out. I have Pearl (aka Lace) gouramis, btw and am familiar with dwarf gouramis.

I have a Gold Grm. and Pearl Grm. and a Blue (aka 3 spot color hybrid) Grm. and they do not seem to care for each other much. They have a lot of space so don't fight too much at all. But they really could care less that the others are even there. Actually, they really mind there own business when it comes to all the other fish as well. Although, my Pearl will ONLY pick on my Gold once in a while. It won't pick on anything else in the tank but Goldy and usually only when eating. Must be some dominance thing (he's probably a man  :D )

So I think they are fine alone or with others.....doesn't matter really as long as they have AMPLE space. Don't cramp'em!

Silver

can u tell me more about what happens what do u mena it didnt work outhow come!?!??!
The larger male and female of the pair bullied the second female gourami so badly she stopped eating and nearly wasted away. It took me months to get her back to health and then she died when I had the big crisis during my holiday.
