Do Goldfisf Eat Other Fish?

Hi

I have a tank with two gold fish and 8 white cloud minnows.

The only problem is I had 10 minnows yesterday.

The lid has not been off the tank, I cannot see them anywhere in the tank and they haven't been sucked in to the filter.

So, could the goldfish have eaten them?

Please advise.

How big are the goldfish? And how big is the tank? Lots of hiding places or not?

The goldfish are both about 3 1/2 " long. I have removed the bit of bogwood and the 2 plants are not that big. I removed the filter and checked that out too.

If you have common goldfish and not the fancy type then yes the goldies will eat them if they catch them.

Yes they are common goldfish - so there is a chance of canibalism in my tank!

Its nature. what do you think is in flaked fish food?

Oh well it should keep the remaining minnows on their toes!
