I would like to buy several glass catfish, and want to know if they can live well with the angel fish and red dwarf gourami in my tank. Both my angel fish and gourami are around 1.5 inch long.

Your angel won't stay at 1.5 inches for long, so to answer honestly, we'd need to know how large your tank is.

Glass (or ghost) cats, Kryptopterus, are shoaling fish that need to be in groups of 6-10. I have seen them do poorly in smaller numbers. They like a quiet tank with moving water. An angel will need 25 to 30 gallons as it grows (quickly if well cared for).

I recommend 55 or larger for angelfishes; while you can keep them in a 29 temporarily i find after a bit of time it is really too small. The height of the aquarium should be at least 18 inches for adult angelfishes.

This doesn't answer your question but the general rule is that any fish that like slime on large flat cichild is a bad fit; any fish that is small enough to fit in an angel's mouth is a bad fit and any fish that require different water parameters is a bad fit - angles prefer low current.

The biggest issue is that the angel will want the top of the temp range for glass catfish which is not horrible but a bit non-optimal.

Actually the angel fish size does not always have to reach 6 inches. For example,
The Pterophyllum leopoldi angelfish is the smallest and can grow up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length max.. As with many other families there can be a vast variety of sizes between actual species. LOL! Even though my mom raised and bred several species this is the only angel I ever kept.

Well that is a different species; i am curious if it requires acidic water or if they are more flexible; seems that they are more picky about water conditions... hum. maybe i'll put a group in with my b. cupido one day. Of course if you have water appropriate for them then why not keep a nice group of b. cupido or m. egregius; though i've never seen a fish more prolific than m. egregius - all they do is constantly spawn.

P. leopoldi aren't that common, and when I've unpacked them, they have been destined to be expensive.

I really dislike them. Most of the ones I've seen have been all body, with stumpy fins. We used to get wilds, and while wild scalare could be stunning, I have never gone "wow" at a leopoldi. They always looked like badly bred domestic scalare in their shape.

The odds against @KennyAr have leopoldi are pretty high, since they're specialty fish and he's running a community tank. It's pretty safe to assume the angel is a P scalare, so it will grow.

My experience with glass or ghost catfish is they demand pristine water, so no crowding.

plus there are 2 similar glass cat varieties, an Asian, and an African... not sure if the water conditions are the same between the 2 species
