Do Dwarf Puffers Actually Puff?

Yes they do,but as with all puffers its a defence mechanism,so even normal puffers shouldnt puff if there tank and tank mates are comfortable

Just to say they certainly do, when mine got an air bubble trapped and tried to get it out of her she kept trying to inflate.

do they have spikes on them when they do, or is it just plain smooth skin?
I'm talking about freshwater puffers.

I've never seen my DPs puff up I am delighted to say. I don't think they have spines like many puffers do.
