I've had one platy fry in a breeding net for about three weeks--I've been waiting for him to get big enough that the other platies don't eat him. But now I'm worried about my BN pleco--are they known to eat fry? I know they eat brine shrimp, and they look similar...

I've had a couple of BN's that lurnt to hunt fry, but only fry under a week old.
They was sitting the the corners of the tank and would wait till a fry swam into the corner, then pounce on them.

This explained where all the fry was going as i could not figger it out for about 6 months. This was a highly stocked fry tank with around 50 fry all the time in their.

If you only have a couple of fry then it's not a problem as i guess they will only lurn if their lots of the fry to tempt them.
