Do Bn Plecos Like Salt?

ive just put put bn plecos in my livebearer tank and realised they might not like salt. can anyone tell me wether they are tolerant or not tolerant of salt?

They're not tolerant - they can cope with a very small amount short term (ie a few days), but long term isn't recommended.

awesome! thank you! i will move them tomorrow into my main tank without salt.

do you think they will breed in this tank considering there are gouramis and such in there or will they be threatened by them and not spawn??

Couldn't say myself as I've never bred them (my male actively dislikes my female lol), but I'm sure someone will have an answer for you

Breeding BN in a community tank should just happen if they are happy with they surroundings and their conditions (and if they actually get on ok)

They may take a long while to get going - but ones they do they will keep going
