Hey.
I bought a trio of appistogramma borelli opals and was wondering if they breed/spawn better as a pair or trio? Right now i have only placed 1 male and 1 female in a 2footer breeder tank by themselves. The other smaller female is in the larger community tank. This is because the smaller female in the community got too aggressive towards both the female and the male appisto when placed in the same tank. They display and tail flick to each other for a bit than the smaller female will suddenly start chasing the male around the tank agressively. It also displays and tail flicks to the other female as well. Is this normal behaviour? Will it be better to add the extra female in their with them or would it better (breeding/spawning wise) if it were just a pair.
Thanks.
