As above i need a cheap diy thing to save as many of my fry as possible.

I have some plastic canvas, used for tapestry/x-stitch, if i make a box without a lid, by cutting and stitching, would this work? as the holes would allow the fry to escape away from the adults?

Made this, plastic canvas stitched together with acrylic wool, there is a little bit that doesnt meet as i didnt have enough canvas lol.
Im planning to house my 3 females in it when i get a small tank (growing out) so i can save as many of my babies as i can :hyper:
Oh yeah and the cute blond fuzzy face is the puppy who of course just had to help lol

Another way you could have made was just get a 2L Coke bottle, pierce afew hols on the bottom, and try to floeat it with the corks! :)

Hope the fry survive! Good Luck :D

Aha never thought of that could always try it lol
Ah good point lol will do thanx

Lol HAHA!!!! I could understand it so thats all that matters lol
As for the coke bottle would it work if i got one of the smaller ones (500ml) and put holes in that but leave the cap screwed on?

EDIT: Ah just had a brainwave lol
If i got a regular 2l pop bottle and cut the top off then put a handful of gravel in the bottom then poke lots of fry sized holes in the sides and glue cork around the top im guessing it would work. The gravel weighing the bottle down while the corks would make it float :D

Yes, that would work too, but just make sure there is some air source at the top of the bottle. Once its water logged, does it need gravel to keep it down, could you not just float it with the cork? Its best to leave the bottles bottom clean (no gravel) so its easy to clean etc. Its also good to put there food (crushed flake) in this bottle so they get accustomed to it. :good:
