bought a tank without a lid and the light way to bright out of the tank (lit up the room) so made a lid while i wait to get a proper one, it is hinged at the back so it simply flips open
needed: cardboard, double sided sticky tape, knife, pen or pencil (for making holes so it doesn't get too hot)

think i saw this on blue peter years ago with a plastic cup but i used a lucozade bottle over other bottles because there is no sticky stuff when you remove the label, wash thoroughly, cut off bottom, hole in the top and tube in the hole i also put a clothes peg on the other end of my syphoner to keep it in th bucket works a treat
