Hey guys,

My electric yellow has a mouthful of eggs that she will drop soon.
I was going to put her into this tank:

But fear that the stress may effect her and the tank itself may not be up to par. So what I did was make a custom breeding net (because the ones at the LFS are too small).
I am pretty happy with it, I used one of those plastic tub carrier things you get from discount stores, and siliconed some bug mesh to the sides. Hopefully the Juvi's will like it in this until they're old enough to sell. :)

That looks like a good solution to me C-cub. Each of us ends up improvising many of the things we need to support our breeding fish. I am always happy to see other people's solutions to problems that I may have tackled the "hard way". Sometimes the most obvious answers simply elude us.

Thanks a lot for the positive feedback. In regards to making it float I was just going to drill a couple of holes in the side and suction cap it to the aquarium wall so it doesn't move about! :D
