Hey i made this DIY gravel cleaner thing. It looks pretty crappy but it works really well. Basicly need any ammount of tubing, the one i use is like 1.2 cm(?) ish thick. And then you cut the top off a bottle, any plastic bottle, to form a cone. Drill a big enough hole in the bottle cap for the tubing to fit through and get some strong sylicon waterproof glue, and glue the tubing into place - much like the DIY co2 bottles :p.

lol say what u want, its still pretty effective and costs you basicly nothing.

uh i modified the post!!!!!

I can't see the pic but I can imagine what it looks like.

it never said there was a pic lol

sounds like it would work... i got a fat one bunch of years ago but i jus moved and i cant find it lol... so when i think theres lots of crap i have to totally clean out the tank.... cept the 20 ... the 20 is too big.... i jus let all the crap build up :(... one day soon i will tear the gravel apart and clean the undergravel filter out :(
:fish:

It did say there was a pic. There was a box with a red x that said can't show pic or something of that sort...

Sorry to dig up this old thread - but could you please post another *working* picture.

This is exactly what I did, except mine was a little easier even. I took the cap off, and slid the tubing inside of the neck (basically exactly the same, except with the cap gone) and then I duct taped around the drinking-hole of the bottle to affix the tubing to it. This is sufficient for cleaning my 120g and costs practically nothing, just the price of tubing. These things are outrageously priced at stores, although they are longer...

Using pvc would be even cooler, if PVC were clear!!
