Diy Glass Lily Pipe

I was looking longingly at the ADA lily pipes today and it occurred to me that maybe i could make something similar by carefully cutting down and drilling a champagne flute and then finding some other glass tubes to hook over the edge of the tank to the filter line.

Am I completely crazy for considering this?!
