Hi, i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could do this, could i cut out like strips out of an old shirt or something and weight it down?
It really depends on what you are using the fake plant for. If you are just trying to provide a hiding place for fry, you could just make yourself a simple killie mop. You make one by wrapping some acrylic yarn around a book about 100 times, then tie a knot around the loop of yarn and cut all the threads at the other end of the book. If you want floating cover, take a cork and tie it to where your knot is located and it will float hanging down into the water. If you want to provide bottom cover, just pitch the entire thing into your tank and let the yarn spread out to form some cover.
In this picture you can see a floating mop and a couple of bottom mops.
I to was going to ask this question because i have some old clothes that have never been worn and the colour does not run on them. I would just like to create some plants for decor because i have a fry tank that i put all my fry in. Would i be ok to wash these clothes and weight them down if so how?
