Does anyone have plans for creating a DIY drip feed sytem ?

I'd like to drip feed liquid fertiliser into my 30 gallon tank and I have a few ideas. But I'm looking for something that is compact.

I tried a search but couldnt really find anything

The first thing that springs to mind is an introvenous drip as used in hospitals.

The simplest thing i can think of is something that uses gravity to feed the fert into the tank, with a restriced opening of some description to limit what goes through.

In a (very) crude sense, a plastic bottle suspended above the tank, with a tube in it and a pinprick of a hole to limit what comes through. My thiught is that over time, the pressure forces a little of the liquid through down the tube.

The other end of the tube would need to be suspended above teh water, so the fert could enter the water, otherwise water would come up the tube and it wouldn't disperse.

Well, here in the states I use Luer valves to control drips similar to what they use on IV bags in the medical industry (except not sterile and therefore 4 times cheaper ;)). You could also use a peristaltic dosing pump. They're very common in laboratory supply and also commonly used in pool chemical dosing

you know how the amount of fertilizer is proportionate to how much water is in your tank?? Well, I was thinking of something like a hamster's water bottle how the little ball has to be pushed up for water to come out. Maybe you can do a float to regulate the flow... LIKE A TOILET!
