A True Oddball
Hi,
I decided to make a divider for one of my tanks as my rams have paired up and were harrasing th other tank mates.
I have made the divide from a single piece of 1cm thick plexiglass. I cut the plastic to size, and drilled 3 rows of 6 holes for water to pass through. I was going to make a base for the divide, but I had no sealent to hand, so I didn't use one. The divide is held up by water pressure eitherside of it, and that it is the same wide as the tank, and is therefore a good fit. I may redesign this at some point as I have some plastic left over.
I have pictures of its development, but I'm waiting for the tank to calm down again, after installation until I take a pic of the tank. I'll post the pics when they are done.
So this divide can be removed at a later date when it is not required, at such a time when the rams have spawned and the fry have been removed to a breeding tank. (Note to self: clean breeding tank get it up and running)
The rams have decided on a piece of bog wood, with 2 plant pots either side as there domain, so instead of distrubing the entire setup and moveing the fish to the breeding tank, I will now try to breed them in the community tank, with the divide.
I have a few questions which can be found here about the setup, and rams.
The process in images:
1 - Section measured onto the plastic
2 - Section Cut out
3 - Holes drilled and protective covers removed
Final stage coming soon...
