Am in the process of getting my gear to set up my planted tank and had some noob DIY CO2 questions: Does the size of the bottle corrolate to how long the CO2 lasts? I see most sites say use a 2 liter bottle and it lasts for a few weeks, but I have some larger 3g bottles from an old water system that would work, would that make it last longer or is that just too much work? Also, I don't have a diffuser, I see that some people run the tube into the intake of their canister filter. I have a HOB filter, would it be feasible to do the same have the tube run down the intake tube of the filter and end at the intake causing the bubbles to be taken up into the filter and then pushed back out with the water flow? Would that work? Thanks in advance!

no, the more yeast = more CO2

the bigger the bottle, the more ingredients so in theory it should last laonger

running into the HOB will be fine, George Farmer did this on his nano.
