I had an idea on something that I have had no experience with and probably no one else has either....but thought I'd share the thought anyway. I was thinking of getting a Lifeguard Rainbow filtration system....you know the modular filtration/heating equipment. Well I was thinking about how to make an out of tank DIY CO2 diffuser and it dawned on me.....why not put a tee fitting on the pipe that connects to the inlet of the mechanical filter and the pleated micron filter will diffuse the CO2!!!
Only one catch and this part of the reason I posted. Does anyone know whether the pleated material will actually diffuse the CO2? Even if it sat against the pleated material not going anywhere....wouldn't the water pressure/movement eventually diffuse it anyway?
