Hi thought I would try and make a few caves. I took a few pieces of Tufa rock from my tank. Didn't realise how pourous this stuff is. Made a massive mistake , I used a screwdriver and whacked it with a hammer...SMASH lots of little pieces, ROUND 2 tapped the screwdriver SMASH a couple of small pieces,,, OUCH>>>
I scraped and gently drilled with the screwdriver , when I say drilled I just rotated it back and forth in my hand , and scraped out most of the inside.. ONE TIP though is give it a good rinse before putting it back in the tank , mines is very very cloudy now....DOH

The last picture I have the large opening against the glass at the back of the tank , I'm hoping one of the juvi plecs will discover it..OR you could place it against the front glass and and observe the occupant.....
Going to get a big piece at the weekend and hollow it out for the Juli :good:

really nice work there :good: it looks pretty natural!

Will definately give it another go , but without the hammer this time , lol, going to soak it in a basin for a long while , i tried sawing it when it was dry , would still be there just now , lol
