Oooooh I almost had a heart attack! I was in bed, almost asleep, when I got a funny feeling that I should get up and check on my fish. So...I got out of bed, went over to my 29 gallon livebearer tank, turned on the light, looked around a bit and everything looked fine. Looked at my fry tank...all swimming around happily. Then I looked at my 10 gallon betta tank...the hoodlight was FLOATING at the top of the water, along with three canisters of betta food. The dividers were all messed up and also floating, and two of my bettas ended up in the same compartment! Thankfully, they were just swimming around as if nothing had happened. I quickly grabbed an extra bowl that I have laying around and filled it with water from the tank and plopped my biggest betta in there. The other two are still in the 10 gallon. I fixed the dividers as best as possible. They're a bit wobbly, but the guys would have to make it through two sets of dividers to get at eachoter, so I'm sure they'll be fine for the night. I think one of my cats must have somehow knocked the hoodlight into the tank and messed it all up. I've got to fix it tomorrow, but I don't get out of class until 5:30. Has anyone else had any problems with silicone coming loose? What about aquarium sealant? I think I'm going to try the aquarium sealant this time. I'm going to try to sleep now...Geez...that really scared me.

I used aquarium sealant for my divider tanks and have had no problems with it. I have the same problems with my cats.... They are sooo curious! hehe~ anyways goodluck and isn't that weird that you got a "feeling".... Good thing b/c by morning things could have been bad.
