Managed to add 5 guppies to my tank this morning, so my fish count is now 11. Went out shopping for a couple of hours and when we got back, one of them was missing. Looked everywhere, around the tank in the tank, then lifted the top off the filter container and there it was. Seems ok, the tank is a Juwel Vision 180 and it's the standard filter, I still can't work out how it got in there though, but at least it's ok.

Cheers,

Keith

Turn tanks light off could of been due to stress, i've had a platy before now end up in the juwel filter box.

I've found small fish right in the very bottom of my Juwel Compact H filter  they managed to wriggle their way right to the very bottom of the cannister. If you water level is too hight and the water goes across the top of the filter, the fish can swim into that little hole in the top

Water is at the line indicated on the side so doesn't go over the top, the only place I can think is where the outlet pipe comes out, whether it has squeezed through or something, got some harlequins in there all are smaller than the guppies, no problems with them. Just have to keep an eye on them.

Yep, they can squuze in there too

They don't hurt themselves in this type of filter, only thing is if they have been in days they tend to come down with columnaris, but yours should be fine wasn't in long enough.
