so, once I set up my 250 gallon, I think I want to include my exceptional "blue" zebra lace angel, that is adult, or close to it... what is the best way to move a fish like that, with minimum fin damage... I'll mostly be growing new fish in the big tank, but since I only want one angel, I'd like to move this exceptional one, from a tank that no one gets to see, to one being viewed by visitors...

There's always a danger with mature angels, especially for the pectorals. I always used a very large net, and tried to get them flat before they left the water. I suppose you could also net them into a container at the tank, then dump all of it into the new tank.

Mutt in the other tank eventually broke both it's long pectorals... but Blue looks like a show fish, and is currently perfect... sometimes bigger fish are actually easier to move, but I want to limit chances for damage... I was thinking a small plastic container, slightly larger than the fish, and a big net...
maybe float the plastic container in it's current tank for a few days, until it gets used to it??
but thought I'd get opinions from people that move them regularly...
not the best lighting, but taken this morning...

I've been thinking about moving it, the new tank will be lots brighter, better to show of it's color, and this one likes to eat cardinal tetras, and I wouldn't mind adding those again to the tetra tank, that this fish is currently in...

a wide mouth gallon jar might've a good ticket to fish paradise ( the 250 )
