Well, I just got back from Wal-Mart... I am setting up a 10 gallon tank for a friend of mine at work with some guppies and we needed some more supplies. Of course I went over to look at the fish and saw this poor female betta in a tank with a bunch of neon tetras... Felt bad for the poor girl, but turned my head to look at the other tanks. Then when I looked back in at her, I noticed there was also a MALE in the tank with her and the neons!!! That was it, I went and found someone and said "You do know you can't keep these fish together, right???" She said, "Yes, I can't believe he did that!" and she removed the female from that tank. Then the fish manager came over and she proceeded to ask him why he had put 2 betta's together. He replied "Well, they are male and female, right?" What a MORON, I corrected him that males and females cannot live together, only females and females can be in a tank over 10 gallons in numbers over 4-5... Then he started in telling me it was a CUSTOMER that did it! Please! You think I customer came over with a net and put them together?!?!?! ERRR, ticked me off for the night! Had to vent!

That is possible, but I doubt it. I saw a kid do something like that last summer. I was doing a greyhound awareness, at a PETCO. The kid netted some feeder goldfish, walked 2 isles away, and dumped them into an oscar tank. I got someone who worked there, and a friend went to yell at the kid. The goldfish were way to big for the baby oscars. the tiny oscars just kept picking at the fins of the poor goldfish. What torture for both oscar, and goldfish. The kid was with 2 others. They thought this was great entertainment.

I'm never having children. :|

Seriously though, I tend to blame things like that on the kids themselves, but it's really the fault of their braindead parents.
