Discuss Eggs Hatched - Can The Parents Protect Them

The eggs have now hatched and two Discus are guarding them for all they are worth. The fry are not swimming yet, how long will the parents be able to protect them.

If this is a community type setting the odds are good not real long, especially when the fry go off on their own.

I have a load of discus eggs on a cone and thy ae REALLY close from hatching, when they do hatch I know that they a going to feed off of their parents but will the parents be able to stop my other discus frome eating them?
