Tank size: 450l, probably 400 with all the furniture in. It was set up in june last year, discus have been resident since then.
pH: 7
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 60
kH: 120
gH: 120
tank temp:27
Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): Large white patch on his side, upper part of his body. Seems to be a bit more timid than usual.
Volume and Frequency of water changes: either 10 or 25% weekly.
Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: none
Tank inhabitants: 4 discus, 3 panda gara, 10 red eye tetra, 15 neons, 5 phantoms, 4 dwarf gourami, 1 golden nuggett plec, 4 ottos, 5 corys, 1 dutch ram.
Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): nothing recent, large lump of wood about 6 weeks ago, but I've had that soaking here at home for the best of a year. The last fishes to go in were the ram and gouramis, again about 6 weeks ago. I am using R.O. water supplied by my LFS, they add the minerals.
Exposure to chemicals: none
Digital photo (include if possible): Attached, you can see him in the centre of the pic. It probably looks brighter than it actually is because of the aquarium lights/camera flash.
I am using a tetratec 1200 filter with the supplied filter components. I added 125gm of Rowaphos a couple of weeks ago and there is a bag of carbon which is about 3 weeks old.
I have seen the pandas hanging off the discus and was wondering if this is some sort of injury. I am in the process of netting them and returning them to the shop but they are absolute 'stards to catch.
Thanks in advance.
