I had 9 discus fish I am now down to 4 , they keep dying and I have no idea why. The water is tested and is fine and they are getting wormed when supposed to. Has anyone got any ideas on why they keep dying? Because I have no clue. TIA 😊

Would like to see pictures of the remaining fish and the entire tank. The pictures may allow someone to notice something.

You state that the water tests fine but what is it? For instance what is the nitrate level? Many species can easily handle higher nitrate levels but discus need a level below 20 PPM.

One thing said really caught my eye that being ".....and they are getting wormed when supposed to.....". I don't understand this especially the when supposed to part. Why would you medicate your fish unless they showed direct symptoms that would relate to the medication. :dunno: From how you worded that part indicates that you are giving meds on an ongoing schedule. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the worming thing is wrong; I just don't really know as I've never kept the species. On the other hand I've had many Amazon Basin cichlids and have never done any worm treatments. After doing a quick search I got many results that agreed that regular worm treatments should be done but, somehow, it just seem right to me. It has been a lot of years since I've had a soft water cichlid tank so I may just be out of date. Hopefully someone with more accurate and current info on this will chime in. ;)

How long have you had the fish for?
Have you added anything to the aquarium in the 2 weeks before this started?
What did you do to the tank on the day before they started dying?
How long have they been dying for?
What symptoms do the fish have before and after death?

Pictures and video of the fish so we can check them for diseases?
Picture showing the entire aquarium so we can see how it's set out?

What have you treated them with?
What are you using to deworm them and how long have you been deworming them?

How long has the tank been set up for?
What are the tank dimensions (length x width x height)?
How big are the fish?
What other fishes are in the tank?

What is the water temperature?
What is the GH and KH of the water?
Is there lots of aeration/ surface turbulence in the tank?

What do you feed the fish and how often do you feed them?

What is the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH in numbers?
What sort of filter is on the aquarium?
How often and how do you clean the filter?

How often do you do water changes and how much do you change?
Do you gravel clean the substrate when you do a water change?
Do you dechlorinate the new water before adding it to the aquarium?
Do you have buckets used for the fish tanks only or do you use any buckets around the house.

The 2 likely reasons are set up and disease. You didn't give us enough to do anything but guess, so, along with @Colin_T 's excellent questions, tell us tank size, fish size, how long you had them, any symptoms, water hardness, temperature, tankmates etc. There are people who can help here, but they need more to work with.
