Discoloured patch on Danio.

Just arrived home from uni today and I noticed my male LF zebra danio has a rather large discoloured patch on his head which wasn't there this morning. It looks similar to the time he got stuck under bog wood but that injury has healed now.

He is the dominant male in the tank and is always chasing the girls and is spawning with everyone (got seven danio girls). I wouldn't be surprised if he has hurt himself. Nothing else about him is abnormal. And if i treat with melafix, if thats what i should do, will this harm the fry I am trying to raise (in a suspended net) ?.

What colour is the patch on his head.

Its a light browny patch.

Just try melafix for now, if no improvement in a couple of days, you will have to try another treatment, good luck.

How about the fry?

The fry should be ok with melafix, as some use that to keep there fish eggs free from desease.
