Hi folks,

Some of my favourite fish are disc characins such as silver dollars, myleus schomburgkii (they have 2 of these in the store near me at the moment) red hooks, mylossoma duriventre, or even true silver dollar tetras.

Ive kept the first 3 species before but they ate the plants in no time.
Are there any disc characins that wont eat the plants and are also compatible with medium sized fish?

Cannot think of any more of the top of my head.......when you kept Ctenobrycon spilurus how was it with the plants?

have a look at "Thoracocharax" the hatchets

I didnt keep Ctenobrycon spilurus 9silver dollar tetra. I expect they'd be ok with plants but are only a small species though
