Tornados come up way too fast for me to be able to save myself, my family, my fuzzy and feathered pets, and still have time to do something with all the bettas, nevermind the other fish... I mean, what exactly am I supposed to do with a 12" oscar during a tornado? If you just have 3 bettas or something I can understand the concern, but there comes a point when you have to realize that it's no longer practical to have a disaster plan for every living thing in your home, at least in the case of fast-moving destruction like a tornado. I have a plan if we ever have to exacuate for a hurricane (which is doubleful in my area), but you get a good few days, if not weeks, to plan for that. You are lucky to get a few minutes to prepare for a tornado. I'd rather look for my fish in the aftermath and hope for the best than be caught under a collapsing roof trying to shovel each one into a tupperware container. I have had a tornado hit very, very close to my house and I can guarantee you that no matter how much I care about my bettas I am not going to risk my life over them. You don't know what it's like until you hear trees falling and see metal lawn furniture flying past the window like it's nothing at all.
