Just a quick question for anyone who has purchased a nano cube, either a 12gal or a 24gal like mine.

Was yours absolutly filthy on the inside?

If it was what is best to clean it with?

What about tape/glue on the inside that secured the warrentie info?

Just curious. Thanks for any info/help guys.

P.S. I was so excited I got my Nano today, opened it up, and it was BROKEN  so now I have to wait for another one, I hope UPS doesnt break this one too!

I think I have heard others using white vinegar to clean theirs and remove the tape/glue residue from the tank. Someone else might want to verify this though. My tank was dirty due to the cardboard it was packaged in, so I just took a damp paper towel and wiped it out, and then took a dry paper towel and rubbed off all of the water spots I caused. This seemed to work well for me, but I don't know how dirty yours is.

Hi...vinegar is the way to go. I had the same problem...pour a small amount in and rub down the glass and sides. If you can, CAREFULLY turn it on it side and rinse out the back chambers. BE CAREFUL...these tanks can crack because of the 'panaramic' glass corners. They can have a lot of dirt in their after shipping. Rinse it out well to remove the vinegar. DO NOT use anything else..no soaps, acetong, solvents, etc of you'll regret it when you add your livestock. SH
OOPPS..just saw the last paragraph. That is why I put in my thread that anyone buying these MUST TEST IT FIRST and use FW so you don't lose SW all over the floor. Good luck and if you need help when the cube arrives, feel free to PM. SH
