ok i have a DIY yeast set up running and my diffuser arrived today.

when i blew through the co2 pipe (to test it.-i wanted to see bubbles) the amount of pressure needed was a lot. i was wandering if the yeast set up will produce that much pressure without something blowing off.

it will but it will also take a fair while to build up. sometimes it can take 6-7 hours to do so. This is why using Andy's solution is oftern better, as then you don't go hours without C02

iv set up that :good: but with 2 1L bottles instead of 2L and i halved the mixture
it is only running on 1 bottle at the moment though (only set it up 2 days ago) and im doing a test to see roughly how long the yeast takes to kill itself off so i know when to change the bottles

Sounds good mike! keep with it as it will work.

thanks =]. would changing to 3x 660ml bottles work better? instead of 2x 1L

i would go for 3x 1 ltr on a tank that size personally. You will get a better stable C02 IMO.

i might do i'll see how the 2x1 work first. can always add another. thanks for the advice :good:

all i need todo on this tank is let the plants grow and add fish :L
