Differnt kinds of bettas

When looking at this forum I noticed words like plakats and crowntails and such thrown around.

The pinned thread at the top helped a bit but could someone help me more, mabey post pictures or such.

I want to get a male betta (hoping I get my aunts 5 gallon tank) if it's alone will it want to make a bubble nest, or is that just for breeding? If its not just for breeding what kind of plants are good for it.

EDIT: also to bettas like algae?

He will still bubble nest while he's alone, that just means he's content

There's so many different kinds of bettas,I think that's how we all end up with so many ) We want,we want!
