Different Types Of Mts?

I have noticed lately I appear to have 2 kinds/colour morphs of trumpet snails in my nano tank.At first I though one was just sick or something as its shell lacked colour but I have started seeing more of these odd ones.They are kinda white/gold and lack the stripes that run parallel with the shell but looking closely I can see very faint stripes that curl round the shell like apple snails have.

Any ideas?

Probably just color variants like apple snails..

I got some mts locally that were a dark brown, and got some from the states that were quite light. So I guess it's just genetics

Well, that's actually two colour variants and one completely separate species .

I actually heard of black trumpet snails a while ago on a German website, but I've not come across them since .

yeah we've had 2 sorts in the past (probably still do) one shaped like yours in the pic but with plain brown shells and one with a much shorter shell, doesn't taper to a point so finley.

Having looked at a number of MTS, I would say there are definetly colour variations. Some are lighter, some darker, some more spotted and others more striped.
