I know that there are several different types of bettas, but where do you find out what type of betta you have? I've been keeping bettas for a few years now, and I'm just curious as to what kinds of bettas there are. :D Thanks!

Well... there are many kinds... as for tail types: Crowntails, Doubletails, Deltatails, Halfmoons, Veiltail, Combtail and some other kinds

as for colours: Mustard Gas, Opaque, black, purple, green and so on

The bettas I have now I bought at the LFS and Petco (the Petco one's all seem to look much more healthy than the ones at the LFS) but they're all combtails. I went to Petco again to look for more exotic bettas and to my surprise they were all combtails. It's all so very discouraging to go through 40 bettas and find they're all about the same :p
