Well a long time ago (last year) before I knew about dyed fish I bought a pair of pink "fruit loops". I was wondering if it was if at all possible for them to mate? Or are they "sterilized" when they are dyed.

The colouring process should not render the fish sterile. Do you know what the fish are, fruit loops tells me nothing - it is a marketting name?

ummm tetras

they look like the black skirt tetras but the "skirt" isnt so long and its white.

White Skirt Tetras then I think. I've heard of those, I think a color morph of the Black Skirt but they shouldn't be sterile though you may have two males or two females which would explain the lack of eggs.

Yes they're a type of tetra but more specifically a White Skirt Tetra as Teelie mentioned. I own 7 of them . :D They shouldn't be sterile from the dying process, but as with most tetras, good luck in breeding them.
