I read that you should add some king of sponge material under your tank before you fill it just incase it's not perfectly level, So it doesn't stress one part of the tank,
I'm almost finished building my tank should I add something, and if so what do you suggest

I dont as my tanks aren't flat underneath, so they aren't designed to have anything under them. Other wise I do use it on my flat glass tank (gold fish tank).

Some do can use it, but other like juwels DO NOT, or they can break.

I agreewith Spanair, JUwel tanks MUST NOT have anything placed under them or they will break. The actuall base of the glass is about 3/4" off the cabinet and is suported by a specially designed base that it sits in .

However for nearly all other tanks its highly recomended that a support is used under the tank base. Polystyrene (styromfoan is another word for it i beleive) is excallent for this purpose.

My 130 gallon setup uses a set of square ceiling tiles under the tank.
