I BOUGHT A TOMANO SHRIMP LAST WEEK AND THE OTHER DAY I THOUGHT HE WAS DEAD ONLY TO FIND THIS MORNING HE WAS THERE SMILING AT ME.ON FUTHER INSPECTION(OR RATHER SIVVING THROUGH THE BIN) I FOUND IT WAS JUST HIS SKIN.HE SHED HIS SKIN WHY DONT THEY TELL YOU THAT IN THE PET SHOP.ETH6661987

Yeah, gave me a fright the first time I saw it, eventhough I knew that they shed their skin. Invertebrates fool many of us the first time they shed. Never heard of a tomato shrimp, a red shrimp I guess!

But no, my shrimp is just fine

I think seth6661987 meant Yamato shrimp which is same as Amano shrimp. I love seeing them shed their skins. I got so excited when I saw my first Amano molt. I actually witnessed it in action. B)

I had that same problem with my lobster, only had it for 2 days and it was dead, so I was all pissed of. Later I found out he was still in the tank, alive and kicking, just hiding for his skin to harden again

lol dont feel bad man it happened to me with my shrimp and crab but i knew what it was when my Crayfish molted 4 days after buying her!!! first time was with a shrimp, lol thought i had a Zombie shrimp for a while lol
