Its been a while since I posted something new,
so anyways, my tank has been up for about a month now and I have 40g
1 diamond goby
2 ocellaris clowns
15-18 hermit crabs (had 20, now about 15)
1 nassarius snail (i think dead)
1 lazy turbo snail

so the problem is that my diamond goby is territorial and some what aggressive, I just witnessed him suck out a hermit crab from its shell and spit it out again thinking it was food. ( think I am going to have to get really big hermits, although you also need the small one to get into small places.
-a side note, although he harasses all the hermits the bigger ones are more immune
-he is a very intelligent fish, e.g very alert to movement in the water and near the tank, poops only in one corner of the tank :hyper: :good: :good: and always clean up infornt of its hole

- he is the most interesting fish to watch in my tank LOL

also do you recommend purple up or normal calcium supplement for coralline algae promotion

We cant see the pics. Are you posting from an ipad? I cant post pics either. Your goby does sound cool. I dont dose anything to excelerate corraline growth.

Edit i can see the pics now.

Nice looking goby! :)

IMO you don't really need the small hermits, get 2 or three bumblebee snails and they will get into all the tight spots!

Or you could et electric blue hermit crabs or halloween hermits. They are large and good cleaners. Also get the bumblebee snails too.
