bought a diamond gobie from my lfs yesterday, put bag in tank as you do and gradually filled it up with water over about an hour before putting him in the tank. turned lights off aswell. left them off for about half hour, turned my blue light on for a bit then turned other white lights on. he looked well stressed in the front corner of the tank. 5 mins past and i was watching tv heard a little bang noise, looked at tank saw the gobie swimming down from top of tank, then it swam up jumped out of tank and went down the back between tank and wall. grabed him quick put him back in, breathing very quickly. 3 hours go by he looks better, turned off lights and went to bed. come down this morning only to find a crusty fish being the gobie on my carpet
are they known to do this?? my ph is normal i tested that this morning.
i have 2 clowns, 4 chromis, blenny, cleaner shrimp, fire shrimp, 2 peppermint shrimps, hermit crabs, various snails, a powder blue tang, 2 anemones, pulsing corals and they are all ok, althoughg the powder blue has a funny way thet it wont go near any thing that is put on a clip on the side of the tank, some times eats mysis shrimps but only the very tiny ones, spends most of the time eating and spitting them back out?
