Well we have been dithering about getting a cat and have been looking at a breed called devon rex, has anyone got one or know much about them ? (i have googled and got the normal info but wondered if anyone owed one). I understand they are alot like orientals in personality and we have always had bengal/burmese/siamese !

I have arraned to go and see some kittens in 2 weeks as they are only 4 weeks old at the moment so breeder does not allow viewing until then !

anyone have any pics of theirs?

well after alot of research i have found out all i need to know and reserved myself a baby ! She is only 4 weeks so cant see her yet but they sent pics:

we have named her Bella and will be able to have her early Dec - cant wait!

Bella is a cutie! I actually googled DevonRex cats after your first post, because I've never heard of them. They are very unique looking...love the ears!

How gorgeous is she!?!?! Looking forward to pics of her when you've got her home. She's adorable.

Aww, I can imagine it must seem like a heck of a wait. She's gorgeous though, so I'm sure she'll be worth it all in the end.

Definitely agree with us needing more pictures when she's home! She's make a cute kitty for christmas cards.

thats a good idea, i have a chiuhuahua too and he would definately demand being in on it ! Will be interesting to see how they get on he is terrified of my parents Bengal ha ha

Well we had 6 week visit and she is gorgeous:

So it will be a long wait till she is 13 weeks but i cannot WAIT!!!

 how cute is that? bet you can't wait. still nice for them to let you visit so she can get use to her new mum. is it me or does daddy looks like charlie chaplin?

She is so adorable. I also thought that Tucan, the dad so looks like Charlie Chaplin, so funny. Very cute pics. Bet it's driving you mad this waiting.

it certainly seems like it taking ages, plus the breeder called today she has an unlcer on her eye from rough play with her brothers - hate the thought of her being ill and not with us !! :(

I actually need some advice on this she is no longer feeding from mum and is seperate most of the time from her, would it be offside to get her early as to sheild the eye from being knocked any more ?? We have the chiuhuahua but can section 1/2 the house off for her?? Or is it definate she has to stay till 13 weeks i would not normally knock the usual procedures but wonder if it would help recovery a bit of tlc on her own ???

When I picked up my youngest Persian I picked her up at 12 weeks and 6 days. At the time the breeder told me that under the Cat Fancy's rules I couldn't actually pick her up until she was 13 weeks old and my sale date was put down as the day later.

If she is a pure bred and registered with the Cat Fancy, then it may be their rules about the 13 weeks.

I will point out that this is what I was told when I got my last cat so I can't tell you how true it actually. Any breeders on here will be able to confirm (or correct the above).

Sorry to hear the kitty has an ulcer. What I will say is that one of my cats had an ulcer and after some pretty strong eye drops she was fine. All I would say is that I have to keep an eye on Myska's eye incase it flares up again.

Well good news her eye has cleared up ! I also have no will power as i have agreed to have her 1/2 sister (same dad) much to my fiancees dismay as she doesnt have much fur at all ha ha ha sooo cute though !!!
still will be 13 weeks old she likes to keep them for their 2nd jab and then a week to make sure they are ok... soo annoying but rules are rules !!
