Depth Of Sand

I was wondering what depth of sand you need in a marine aquarium.

Depends, are you aiming for a deep sand bed? Do you just want it because you like the look of sand vs bare bottom, do you have any sand burrowing creatures that you would like in mind? And remember, bare bottom is always an option.

with the thread you made on gobies in mind id go for a couple of inches. But make sure that teh rock work is secure and laid on the glass not the sand
