Hi,
At my lfs they have these bettas there that they call "delta halfmoons" I saw this cute white one and I really wanted it but I just cant have anymore bettas at this moment...
Just wondering what you thought of them. Also at this other fs I saw bettas with double tails.. Are these comman? Some of the deltas had double tails too.

:D

their not rare but from a lfs they are an odd find. i found myself a double tail a few weeks ago im my lfs. as for the delta halfmoons, i think that juts means that their tails dont for a perfect 180' angle when flared out, userally anything under 180' is called a delta or delta halmoon. a full halfmoon would be a very rare find :D

Delta Halfmoon is a long way of saying DELTA!

If their tail spreads out to under 180 degrees, they are not a Halfmoon. At all. They're a Delta. They may be a Super Delta, but they're no Halfmoon.

Double tails are fairly uncommon in pet stores, but they aren't too rare, either.

I actually found an orange DT at Petco a few weeks ago... surprised me. There's a mega fish store around here that orders halfmoons from Thailand. And mine would definitely have been a full half if he would have lived to be full grown... poor baby. Rest in peace, White Fish...

yea my lfs usualy keeps about 4 CT, DT, ect. (not 4 of each four in all) mainly cause the whole store is asain based workers (witch works well for me i get cool fish) but they are the only ones in iowa i know of that keep any thing but VT good thing i live close to em :p
