Hello,

I am deliberately overstocking my 15 gallon (long) tank with appx. 1 month-old molly fry. I would say there are a good 50-60 of them in there. I know that typically, overstocking isn't a GOOD IDEA. But, these are all fish I plan to sell to the LFS here in less than a month. I have 3 tank filters (40 gallons worth of filtering for the 15 gallon tank) going right now as well as air stones. I also change out 10% of the water every other day. They seem to be in good health and the tank nitrites/nitrates/ammonia is fine, but wanted to make sure this is a suitable setting for this short period of time.

Any thoughts?

IME and opinion this should be fine on a temporary basis. Iw ould definately say no, if you hadn't mentioned trading them in. but since you are....all should be good!

that many fish in a 15 gal you will have no problem with the filtration and your maintenance but i would watch your growth rate. I have had 20 in a 5 gal and many ended up stunted. You may not have the same problem but watch them carefully. They should continue to grow steadily for the next 6-8 weeks. Good Luck with them :)
