Dehumidifier

Hello all . I own a dehumidifier and it collects a bucket of water a day.

The stupid question is... would that water ever be ok to use? I just wondered it tonight as I poured it down the drain.

I've heard of people using rain water before. So it got me thinking

The water usually condenses onto metal pipes & would be contaminated. Better to tip it & be safe IMO.
