Today I've picked up a small (4-5") deformed liposarcus (pardalis I think). He has a very snubbed face, deformed mouth (from the snub nose) and his tail is curved round to one side. His history is that he's been like this for "years" and he's "fat and lazy". He certainly seems to be eating well, he's lovely and fat (not scary fat). I had to bring him home and give him a chance.
I have no idea about his previous tank, but I'd be very surprised if his deformity was caused by being bent in a small tank as he isn't big enough - to have been bent round he'd have had to be literally kept in a margarine tub, so I think his deformity must be congenital (?).
Given how small he is and how long he's been this way, is there any hope of me getting him back right and him growing to his potential? Is there anything I can do to maximise his chances?
Thanks
Kathy
