Hi everyone
I just bought myself a decorator crab fully decorated and looking so cool , Anyway just wondered what would be the best food for this guy and they best way to make sure hes eating is there anything specific that these guys like

In general they are very hardy, since it's a Carnivore it should be feed "meaty" things such as chopped clams ans and fish spicy up with some froozen he'll be fine. Preparing something cave-like for it to hide, do you keep any other invertebrates?

hi thanks for the reply
i also have a few red leg hermits 4 turbo snails and 3 chromis at the mo plus an added bonus of a slug type thing that crawled out of some new live rock i just bought

Decorator Crabs are not considered reef-safe because they attack corals, crabs, and snails and stick them to their backs, where they are trapped forever. They can be benefitial to very large reef-tanks, because this act may help to spread corals throughout the system.

Therefore, these crabs are a wonderful and interesting addition (if you ever see them, they are very good at disguising themselves), but only if you are willing to regularly replace your cleanup crew!
