im decorating a new small tank, what shall i put in it?

any ideas?

its my 3rd 3 gal

im not sure about live plants coz, i dont know how to care for them!

any ideas, or pics ?

thattd be nice

well, depending on whether there's gonna be delicate fish in the tank or not, how about some spunky and colorful plastic plants against black gravel? and and and a color candleholder cave? add in a few colorful schoolers like a trio of Guppies or Platties and voila; an insant, colorful underwater world!

or, if you want more natural/putting a delicate fish in, some tall, identical silk plants in the back and a few shorter ones in the front, a tiny piece of driftwood, and your 'delicate' fish, like a Betta, Dwarf Gourami, or a trio of Glassfish.

thanks, nice idea, im thinking on the natural look side, i have to decide wha t to put in (fish)& what decorations,

anymore ideas?

still thinking

thanks bettaboy im taking ur advice but im still on my quest of the look

i like natural looking tanks, don't like the colorful gravel, unnatural looking fake plants, etc. in my tank, i have a few live plants and for decorations, i have a whole bunch of rocks and sea shells in various colors and shapes. i just arranged them in an interesting way. i even made a small cave out of them. if you don't want live plants, you can get fake ones that look real. just use your imagination and have fun :)

Hi akhtar its tough how about looking in the tank photograph forum, some awesome tanks in there to inspire you.

Real plants do look better, and remember do benefit the tank,if you are uk based try java plants their website has water params and lighting requirements for the plants they sell making the choice a little easier.

Post some pics when the tanks set up always good seeing other peoples tanks
