dechlorinator

This is just a quick question. How long does it take for dechlorinator to work. Iv heard 24 hours to pretty much instantly. Does anyone have the answer? thanks

instantly, as far as i know. Where did you hear 24 hours?

put it this way: i always add the water as soon as i have put dechlorinator in, and my fish are fine.

dechlorinator works instantly. it takes the chlorine 24 hours to evaporate from the water if you dont use water conditioner.

its better to wait the full 24 hours though, as not to take the risk of burning the fish with chlorine

I drop the dechlorinator to the bucket then fill it up..... makes sure its well mixed in.

I also add the water pretty much straight away. No ill effects yet.
