Real simple question for all you experts out there.

i have tetra aquasafe (dechlorinator) the label goes into lots of detail about dosage per gallon etc but it doesn't say how long you have to leave the treated water before putting it in the tank.

i'm no chemist but it won't work instantly. i've been leaving treated water 15 mins (for a 4 Litre bottle) before pouring into the tank. is this okay, i'm only guessing. noone at the lfs seems to have a proper answer for me. -_-
 
you can add it directlt to the tank aquasafe is well named as it is totally harmless

I'm no chemist as well but i'm lead to belive that the chemical process in almost immediate.
