Debating A Scape Change

So i have a new bit of wood
 

 
I am getting to the point of rescaping the 2.5ft, i am just not sure this bit of wood will fit in there.....so i may redo the 4ft, seeing as the rainbows are being sods and eating my plants lol, making it more wood orientated than plant....
 
So we will see what ends up there
