The 2 girls I got from Synirr are alone in a 10 gallon together. They both have (er, had) such perfect little fins and were showing no aggression. Ah, the joys of Juvies. These girls are HALF the size of my other two girls, who reside in my (no flames pleased **) community tank. I woke up this morning, and one of the Synirr girls (the very metallic one) has shredded fins. Oh great - they've gone out of the juvie phase. I'm not sure what to do. This is the way I see it.
I can either leave them to fight until they get bigger. (I'd really like to spread aggression though)
I can move my other two girls into the 10 gallon (which is what I was intending to do in a few months, when these girls are big enough to keep safe. he most obvious choice seems to be to move my other 2 girls in there, but they are so big... I'm scared they'll just SMASH the other girls. They're just too big.)
I can seperate the girls (I do not want to seperate them, because once they get used to being alone, I doubt they'll ever be able to be together again, and I want a sororiety tank.)
Or I can move the little ones into the community tank. (I won't put them in the community tank (even though I personally think it would work out). There are 7 tetras just a tiny bit bigger than then, it's super-heavily planted. LOTS of places to go, lots of things to take aggression. But I am not doing that simply because I hoped to get away from the community tank thing, not to mention I'd get flamed to death I reckon >_>
)
Buying new tankmates that are small is not an option.
Nobody has serious injuries yet, so I'm not doing anything yet. Any opinions?
